The 1892 rifle was the last of the pistol-caliber lever guns Winchester ever built. Unlike the earlier 1866 and 1873 models which utilized a link operating system the 1892 employs a more robust vertical locking system allowing for heavier loads and calibers. The 1892's compact size and vertical locking system makes it suitable for both Cowboy Action shooting and for brush and field use. Navy Arms offers 1892's for use on the range or in the field with both models sporting the superior materials and finish shooters have come to expect from Navy Arms. - Each gun comes with Grade 1 American Walnut stocks checkered at the wrist and forend bone-charcoal color case hardened frame and furniture done in the US as well as Marble's semi-buckhorn rear and gold-bead front sight mounted on a full octagonal barrel. In addition the upper tangs are drilled and tapped to accept the Marble Arms peep tang sight. - Caliber: 45 Colt - Barrel Length: 20 - OAL: 37.5 - Weight: 6 lbs - Capacity: 10rd
